What is kiln-dried firewood?

Kiln-dried firewood is firewood that has been put through a heat treating process to remove excess moisture from the wood. This dramatically increase the quality of the firewood. Easier to light, less smoke, more heat, and no insects or mold! Many people don’t realize how much firewood quality varies from company to company. We measure the temperature and moisture of the wood throughout the heat treating process to make sure it is up to our customers’ standards!
